About Us
We are a pediatric practice located in the Elmwood neighborhood of West Hartford. We accept Husky, Tricare, and most commercial insurances, and we are currently accepting new patients. Our pediatric practice was established in 1983 by Dr. Chitra Ramanan, one of the founding members of Collins Medical Associates—a group of like-minded primary care physicians dedicated to providing excellent patient care. Over the years, the practice has gradually evolved from a solo practice into a two-provider office, now led by Dr. Ishrat Quadri, alongside Semone Roach, A.P.R.N. We take pride in being a Patient-Centered Medical Home, allowing us to deliver safe, high-quality, affordable, and accessible care.
Many of our patients have been with us for generations, and we are delighted to now care for their children and even grandchildren!

We are proud to partner with the UConn School of Medicine through the Clinical Longitudinal Immersion in the Community (CLIC) program, helping to train the next generation of physicians while continuing to provide the highest level of care to our patients. As part of this program, our practice serves as a teaching site where a dedicated medical student works closely alongside your provider over the course of their three-year training experience.
Our medical student plays an active and supportive role in your visit—meeting with you to discuss your concerns, reviewing medical history, performing physical exams, and collaborating with your doctor to develop a thoughtful, personalized care plan. This hands-on experience allows students to build meaningful relationships with patients while learning the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.
Participation in this program is always optional, and your comfort is our top priority. No matter your choice, you will continue to receive the same attentive, high-quality care from your provider.
